What WOULD be cool, is if matchmaker gives us a 1114+2056+67 v A+B+C match during quals.

Id hate to be on the opposite alliance against them I would get wrecked.

This would be quite the test of the strategies these teams have come up with for ball shortage scenarios.

Honestly, I'd volunteer my team to be team A on that alliance. It'd be an honor to touch bumpers with those bots.

And to show what a twisted sense of humor the scheduling gods have, there'd be nobody on the opposite side who could co-op! :p

The 195 alliance then beat the 2067, 558, and 1071 alliance in the finals to take gold. I certainly don't want to take anything away from their accomplishments, they just weren't the one to beat 2168 at on of the two events.

Overall though, very interesting and good predictions as always. Can't wait to see Newton!

He meant at NYC as well, not solely the CT regional

Yes, that is very true. If you read the quote that I referenced though, it stated that 195 had taken 2168 out twice. LF then updated their statement to include the reputable teams of 228 and 177.

2 Terriffic upsets in semi finals, semi finals for NYC, and semi finals for CT

We'd take one of those spots. I'd like to see if we can beat 67 to the center bridge for hybrid, and I'd like to see how our drive train stacks up against these great teams. I'm not sure what our chances are, but I'm sure we could make it interesting.

Yep, IF we can work out those communications issues. Big If.

The rest of the team is rolling along Route 80 at the moment, so I (the Team Pessimist) will comment: I just wish we could nail this one down. It has been so frustrating for the team to have such a predictable and reproducible problem, and over a dozen of the very best folks in FIRST work on it, and not even have the slightest handle on it.

sigh.

I don't get frustrated, I get determined. Stop by and offer your 2 cents, if you have an idea.

Here is the reproducible issue: Set the robot on the field, it connects. Wait a few tens of seconds, it loses comm, the radio lights go solid blue. Reboot the robot, after it gets comm again, all is well for the rest of the match. (Without the reboot, it never reconnects. If that 'time' happens after the match starts, oh well, we "sleep".). No pattern as to who powers on first or last.

You've swapped out the entire cRIO modules and router and this still happens ? Did you swap out with a newer unit?

That's a match I'd rather witness from the stands than from behind the glass...
