Our trailer's roof vent was busted, but that was about the extent of the damage. We walked to the dome everyday and the busses and van that pulled the trailer were in the parking garage, so not too bad considering.

I don't think our bus nor our trailer sustained any damage. If it did then I haven't heard anything about it. Thankful for that, and my best wishes to anyone who did sustain damage.

I guess you could say "All hail broke loose at Championships."

We were parked in the lot right by the 7th st enterance and our van and trailer received no damage, at least that I know about. We did blow a tire out on our drive back home and bent the fendenr when that happened and some very heavy rain in OK and TX during the drive back to AZ.

I guess that $18/day parking garage was worth it...especially with no comprehensive insurance on the old Suburban

Yeah, I'm starting to regret where I parked. $1 / day parking when my deductible now costs me $100.

Took my car into the shop. Guy said they'd likely have to replace the roof. Said it'll take at least a couple weeks to repair, so I'll either have to borrow a car or rent one when I move to Cape Girardeau for my P&G internship.

Got the estimate on my truck, $2600. The team trailer is not covered.

Sounds like next year we need crates that when you take the robot out, you put your car in.

I never saw a manhole cover dance before!

BTW, my insurance company determined the hail damage to my Hertz rental is covered. I'll only need to pay $250 deductible.

It looks like they used the wrong type of manhole cover on that storm sewer. Usually they should have a few holes (or another method to vent built up pressure) in them to allow the air to escape when there's a huge influx of water (such as from a thunderstorm).

One of our mentors got footage of the same thing:

Pretty crazy.

Estimate our our car (parked in the Volunteer lot) is a bit over $5K. Sad thing is that car had about the same amount of hail damage repair from a storm last April that also got us a new roof on the house.

And then, this weekend we had another hail storm here in KC. There's no way to tell if that car got even more damage, but our other car now has a claim filed too. You think your insurance company loves you.... :yikes:

Got our estimate today. $10,100! Do I win the prize for the most costly damage to a vehicle in the volunteer lot?

I am not sure why every one is so negative about this "damage", consider it an improvement.

In all seriousness sorry to hear about the damage to so many cars. As for the team trailers that arent covered, if the damage is cosmetic it is probably worth keeping it as is, in four years when all the students have graduated it will be a good story.
