For some reason,
our Fedex tracking number was never inputted from Houston week 6 to CMP, but yet, it got there.
Hope that's the case this time around also as nothing appears when we enter the Pro number for shipment.

We didn't plan on going, and didn't budget for the championship. We won the RCA in Las Vegas, and had two weeks to fundraise. The last three weeks have been a blur.

You still should have received free shipping to CMP, though perhaps your crate was overweight and resulted in fees from Shepard.

Just got our robot crate back. The FedEx driver told me he was watching the robotics competition online and asked how our team did. He knew about Team 27 and 469. We must be doing a great job in Michigan promoting FIRST if a FedEx driver watch FRC matches online and was excited talking about it.

I'm in Newport RI and my crates are finally in the system, having left yesterday, with an estimated delivery date for next Monday. Good thing, since Battlecry is coming up soon!

Not to derail the thread, but just thought I'd mention that your student that gave the talk at PTC's booth did and awesome job. I was very impressed.

Thank you. He is one of my seniors. He does have great presentation skill. He prepared that presentation all by himself. I did not even have to review it. Yes he can talk. He has his own hour long radio talk show at our high school radio station.

Our robot made it home today too!! Almost didn't get it because they didn't put it on a lift truck, but they fixed it right away for us and he is safely home now! :)

Aah the classic sequence of events for Fed Ex:
  1. Tell them you want a lift truck a week in advance
  2. Call them the day before to remind them you want a lift truck
  3. FedEx shows up without a lift truck. They return to base.
  4. They have to come back with a lift truck.

Still no call from FedEx, and the tracking number is still turning up no listing. Is anyone else experiencing this? Should I call FIRST?

Re: Return shipment of robot?

I e-mailed Shepard to ask and I got this e-mail in response on Friday.

Quote:

Good Afternoon,

All First Championship robots should be out for delivery come Wednesday. The Fed Ex terminal did not have the storage capabilities for all 15 trailers full of robots, so 2 trailers were sent daily to the warehouse for outbound shipping. Once your robot makes it to the terminal, ( most likely by Wednesday, if not earlier) you will be able to track the robot with the Fed Ex pro. Once the robot is in route, the typical 5-7 business days should apply. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you for your patience in this matter,

Ours came today, and we knew at least a few days in advance. If it doesn't show up soon, then I would worry.
