It was rigid, many times we'd lift a corner getting onto the bridge. The robot isn't going to instantly spin out if one wheels loses contact. Plenty of practice will be your biggest help. Build it with parts available, practice, and then decide if it's worth continuing to build upon.

Exactly. It will still handle (almost) exactly like a tank drive if you aren't trying to strafe.

Suddenly, I think I'm going to convince my buddy programmer to program an xbox controller for our demo bot...(It's our 2010 robot, Trigger, for those familiar with us)
