<Kristian25> Yeah, the reasoning was the they really didn't want to constrain teams/have them lawyer the rules too much

<Kristian25> or something along those lines, but the audience did let him know that they would've preferred some sort of glossary

<aspiece> Fender defense was deadly on fender shooters. We got to do it once and we shut down both 1322 and 548

<wing1002> I don't think there was a difference in difficulty on either shots. it depended on how it was executed by the team

<wing1002> There was no backboard though, that was what made it hard

<wing1002> you had to land your shots in for a swoosh

<aspiece> Once our shooter was working correctly, the key was easy to line up without code

<aspiece> IT created some interesting competitiveness strategy between the opposing teams

<wing1002> I saw that it was inconsistent on the Hybrid rulings for buzzer beaters

<Kristian25> I think that as the season went on, they got better at dealing with ball jams, at least in hybrid

<aspiece> One match of our they simple gave us the points and didn't restart a match.

<wing1002> I found that in Week 7 events, they were counting buzzer beaters in Hybrid, but in Newton, they weren't

<Kristian25> The ruling at CMP on that was that the field supposedly had a slight delay built in to account for the extra hybrid points after the buzzer

<Kristian25> so they weren't going to manually adjust it

<thefro526> IIRC, it was enough to count a ball in the hoop at the end of hybrid, but not a ball in the air

<Kristian25> and that was consistent across the event. I know at some other events earlier in the season, the field crews were compensating for the extra 3 pts

<jbarry987> Refs job is to supervise proper placement of elements on fields

<Kristian25> Much better than the 06 real time scoring, and at least the goals were such that the pokey pokey stick guy couldn't knock the balls out of the goal

<aspiece> The real time scoring was key for many of our wins

<Kristian25> They could, but it was sooo much better than 2006's
