Java ftp connection takes forever

When deploying code to the robot using netbeans it takes forever to ftp to the robot. Is there a way to make this go faster cause we get stuck at this part for 5 minutes or so. Our code does work it's just annoying to wait that long every time.

Can you post the console output produced during deploying code? Maybe there will be some clues in there.
