Note about Waiting List: We will continue to take names for the waiting list. If you really want to attend, please continue to register. In 2011, 5 out of 7 wait-list teams found a spot. We are excited about the Co-event, Daisy's Girls in Gear with the Girl Scouts. It's so cool to get Daisies and Brownies into robotics. Have them drive older 341 robots and our robots and then send them over to Ramp Riot with the knowledge that they can do that too. Daisy Scouts, like Miss Daisy Roboteers show no fear behind the control stick!

To All Ramp Riot Teams:
Just a quick note to let you know that we are still planning to hold Ramp Riot as scheduled. The school has power and there was no damage. The school should be open tomorrow. I apologize for the lack of updates. I personally have had no electrical power for 4 days and my internet is still down as I write to you. So I will work very hard this weekend to get you all of the information that you need. In the mean time please plan to bring canned goods for the community cupboard. As always, the team with the most cans will win the Mike Wade Trophy and you will be helping families in need. Thank you and be safe. Al Ostrow |

Special Charity Note:
As always we will collect food cans for the Mattie N Dixon Community Cupboard and the team that brings the most cans will be awarded the 2012 Mike Wade Memorial Trophy (Picture Attached). But more importantly we have a large number of struggling families in our district that lost all of their food during the storm and blackout last week. Please, Please do whatever you can to bring canned goods for these families. This year it is more important then ever to participate. Many families are trying to replace food that spoiled last week. Hey guys! This is Samantha Adams, co-captain of CRT 306. I just wanted to say thank you to Miss Daisy for hosting and making the event everything it was. Our rookies were excited and had the best learning experience we could ask for. We all had a great time and can't wait for next year!
Quick thank you to everyone for voting for us for the Gracious Professionalism award. We can't say thank you enough! :D This event was my "rookie" event for driving. Our driver for Rebound Rumble graduated and I became the driver for our team. Having never had a chance to drive the robot on the actual field, this event really made me more confident. Team 869 had a graet time at Ramp Riot 2012! The energy was amazing, great work by the MCs, student MCs, and the rest of the field crew.
341 put on an amazing event and we were thrilled to make our Ramp Riot debut! Congratulations to 1676, 341, and 2606/ 2607 on some outstanding play, you guys were awesome! Thanks again Miss Dasiy for showing us a great time! :D |
