Thoughts:

*We had the most traffic in 2009? people must have really been trying to figure out that moonfish hint, and then spent a LOT of time discussing how to handle a game without traction.

*The #1 city on Chiefdelphi is Seattle? I know there are two regionals there, but that is completely unexpected. When comparing the graph with the greatest density of teams, I would have thought for sure a North East city would be #1.

*2011 and 2012 don't have the same drop-off in traffic before second quarter.

I'd bet on the new control system being a bigger contributor.

it is interesting how the "season" of CD is getting longer ...

The trends for "First Robotics" shows similar patterns with the kickoff spikes, but the later spikes (regionals and CMP) happening more consistently than the "Chief Delphi" charts since 2005. Also, on "First Robotics", although the total search volume is increasing, the initial spike around kickoff is decreasing. Perhaps because of more people using Chief and Youtube to get kickoff info?

Could be with everyone using CD on their mobile devices and such.

I'm surprised that San Francisco is number 2 on the cities list, considering there is only one FRC team in SF. I assume it's just regional so it accounts for all of the bay area.

Aren't these search queries, and not actual site visits?

Seems to me most visitors to Chief Delphi probably type in the URL directly or have it bookmark, making this data useful but not conclusive.

That would probably be included in Safari, since they both use Webkit.
