Hackerspaces and Workshops

I just attended a plexiglass bending (Flaming!) workshop at the IXR in NJ (a relatively new hackerspace on the former Camp Evens and Marconi Wireless site) The class was intense! My 13 and 9 year old daughters think I am the MAN! They love their new ipod/business card/brochure holders. The IXR is starting Micro controller Mondays and Soldering Sundays! If you are in NJ, stop on by (if you want to hang with some cool/Nerd/Geek/Geekettes!) or take a tour of the Infoage Museum/Camp Evens (Think NASA Computers, Radar towers, large warehouses and more! (1PM until 5 PM on Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays)

Post other Workshops/Hackerspaces that are in your area or that you attended to help promote these wonderful opportunities for learning in the off season. If there are no hackerspaces or workshops in your area, start your own and promote it here! I would love to hundreds of posts to this thread :)
