Few things I wouldn't mind seeing on the list
-Drop down ingester
-Co-op bridge knockdown auto with time
-Co-op bridge ball collection with time
-Alliance bridge auton

548 as of now only has a drop down ingester from the list above.

1592, off that list, can go to the co-op in auto and collect balls in auto and has time to go shoot them.

68 currently has a Co-op bridge ball collection Auton.

I noticed it's not in your list but it might be worth adding whether or not a team can feed/get fed in auton. 68 can get fed 2 balls, and shoot them, and we can feed out our front intake rollers.

From Bjenks' list, 447 has both Co-Op Knockdown Auton w/Time & Alliance Bridge Auton...working to add a few more variations of these for IRI.

Team RUSH 27 has autons that knock down and occasionally retrieve the balls on the co-op bridge in attempts to score the balls. We do not have an auton to get the alliance bridge but one of our autons will shoot the 2 balls then head over there to be ready for when teleop starts. We also have a 99%ish auton to score 2 pointers. We can't guarantee it will work 100% of the time but it works VERY efficiently. In addition, we can make the 3 pt shot as well.

Since 1538 will be present, will Cowscout be active at all?

The backstory: a volunteer once told me that our robot was stuck on the bridge after trying to help it off. It wasn't, but refused to move, as per every time it's on the bridge. That's just low gear, but it works about as well as brakes.

Here is a current picture of FRC team 3138's robot for IRI with modifications. The white lines on the side of the base are markers for overhang when balancing. We take up approximately 24" of the bridge.

Unfortunately not, CowScout relies pretty heavily on having access to competition data. Since IRI doesn't regularly update match results and rankings in a place where our scrapers can access, CowScout won't quite work right for IRI. However, robot photos as well as regular season results for all the teams attending is available.

Re: 2012 IRI Scouting

To prepare for its first trip to IRI, 3193 Falco Tech has added a few modifications to our robot Talon Charlie:
  • Added a second motor to our arm base tilt for strength, durability, and redundancy
  • Pneumatic system is bug-free, so our drive shifters and bypass hood on our shooter for full-court passing are fully functional
  • Improved maneuverability
  • Improved grip on ball collector
  • New pneumatic "overhang assist" system to improve/stabilize our triple bridge balancing--only takes up about 18" on the end of the bridge (including bumper)
Please stop by in the pits to check them out--I know our students are eager to see your robots as well!

Re: 2012 IRI Scouting

45's bugs have been solved mechanically and it will appear that we will be bringing an entirely modified bot to IRI.
  • New Shooter
  • New Drivetrain
  • Bump-crosser
  • Consistent 2 ball auton
  • Stinger(maybe if I can work on it Sunday)

Special thanks too Cybertooth team 3940 for the use of their fling-a-pult design. They have been so gracious by helping 4 other teams with shooters this year. I believe all 5 teams incorporating their shooter will be at IRI this year. It would be interesting to see an alliance of all fling-a-pults :)
