FRC Card Deck - On Kickstarter

As was discussed in this thread, I have been in the process of creating an FRC card deck. Each card in the deck will feature the robot and logo of a well-known team from 2012. The deck can be purchased by individuals for their own memories, or by teams, and would make a great gift for judges. Well, the Kickstarter project is finally live!

The project's Kickstarter Page

I can only make these decks if enough people buy them. So tell your friends!

EDIT: As I talked about in the other thread, I spoke with FIRST Marketing, they confirmed that it's okay to use the logo on the cards.

What material will the cards be made from? $10 seems like a steep price for a deck of cards. I backed it BTW.

Insert one quad-kick in the pants! I hope your project makes it.

I sent word out to my team, and we're going to see how many people we can get interested in it. Hopefully enough students will be interested so we can go for the $530 and get our name out there! :D

The $10 includes shipping. That's why it gets so much cheaper if you buy more decks. Here's the cost breakdown:
$4.45 per deck
$5.15 shipping via USPS fixed-rate shipping

The last 40 cents cover a fixed $75 set-up fee (regardless of the number of decks purchased) and shipping to me.

If I may makie a suggestion - If you lowered the ammount required to have your robot on a card, to say 100, then once you have a robot for every card, you also have enough to make them. I also figure people would much have a deck of cards with their own robot on a card.

That being said I'll be backing when I get home from work.

You got my backing. While I think the idea of putting pictures of robots on the cards is a cool idea, I don't like it. I really like the design of the the cards as shown on KickStarter. Sadly we'll always know that "team xxxx's picutre means the guy has the jack of hearts", kinda ruins a euchre game.

I think the robot picture goes on the front of the card, not the back.

Can we see the pictures of the robots going on the cards? (And did you get a good picture of Endeavour? :D ) I'll be backing it soon, just waiting on my paycheck.

I'm working on making a the cards, and will have a few done soon.
Also, I've decided that, if the company can print small enough legibly, I'm going to put the names of the Dean's List Finalists, spread out across four cards. That's over 25 per card, though; if they don't fit, I will put just the winners, all on one card.

Split them across the jokers.

Actually, my own team (862) and the team I'm going to be mentoring this fall (3322) are going to be on the jokers. Unless I can't find enough other teams, in which case I will do something silly like putting Dave Lavery's face on them. OR, I JUST HAD AN IDEA!!! I can put the FIRST logo on the jokers, and then I won't have to put it on the face of each card! The faces are really cluttered, with pips, FIRST logo, team logo, team robot, and a very brief description of what they did. Less cluttered = good.

See, I don't realy want to do that, because the point of the cards is to feature the GREATEST robots of 2012, not the teams with the most money. I put the opportunity for four teams to get their teams on the cards as a bonus for people that buy a whole bunch of cards, but you'll note that it's limited to four.

Guys, if you want this deck to succeed, you have to order! Remember, your account won't be charged unless enough people order, so you won't be wasting your money.
