New Look on The Blue Alliance
 

The Blue Alliance got a great new design thanks to some awesome work by Eugene Fang and Kunal Mehta. It's fully responsive, so looks great in your laptop's browser and on your phone or tablet.

They built a static HTML prototype of the new design, which is based on Twitter's Bootstrap framework, in their own github repository, then ported it into the main the-blue-alliance github repository. This was a monumental amount of work, fixed several outstanding underlying Google AppEngine framework bugs The Blue Alliance had, and puts us in an awesome position to iterate rapidly on the site before the 2013 season.

If you're interested in working on The Blue Alliance, we're totally open source at https://github.com/gregmarra/the-blue-alliance . I'd like to improve the ease-of-starting development on the site, so if you run into any stumbling points setting things up, please reach out to me (by email) and we'll figure out how to fix them and make them easier for the next person.

We'd love any feedback you have on the new design so we can make things rock for 2013!
