Can someone explain how the draft works? I understand the ordering and stuff (I read all of the rules) but where do we need to go for the draft? Is it a google doc or on chief? And if we want to send in our lists, where do we send them too? Thanks!

On the day of the draft the draft order will be randomly assigned to the league members (for the District Championships and the FIRST Championships draft order will be determined by seeding). At the same time a random order of the teams will be established so teams can be selected for absent draftees (for the District Championships and FIRST Championships the order is determined by OPR). Draft times for selection are assigned to the draftees. They have five minutes in the first round to make their selection. Two minutes in the second round to make their selection and one minute in the the third round to make their selection. If a list is submitted the draftee wil have their pick made for them by the moderator according to the list. If no pick is made then a team will be assigned to the draftee by the moderator. It is then up to the draftee to correct the pick in the thread if they do not want the team that has been assigned to them. Until then any team picked by other draftees previous to the correction will belong to those draftees.
After the draft up until practice day of the event teams are allowed to trade teams with other draftees. Only even trades are allowed (One for one. Two for two or whole alliances for whole alliance. No unbalanced trades are allowed and no trading for real world items (Mtn Dew. Girlfirends. Previous robots. Freshmen minions.). All final decisions are through the commissioner (me).

The drafts are held @ 7pm est on the Fantasy FIRST forum on Chief Delphi.

Send all lists via PM to the draft moderators which will mostly be either me or EricH. I have had people send me lists one event at a time and I have had people send me full Excel documents with every draft listed in it. You can list every single team at the event or just the particular teams you want for the first and even second pick with a random assignment for your last pick. I have even had people send me list stating they just want random teams for events they had no idea about.

Since no one messaged me I will be running scoring for both events and leagues (may the force be with me). How do you guys want the results posted in each individual thread (where the drafts took place) or in a new thread each week summarizing the weeks events?

Go ahead and post them in the threads. We can accumulate the scores for weekly standings in th emain Fantasy FIRST thread(if possible).

I just take attendance--I won't be running any drafts this year. I'll be happy to forward any lists I get to whoever is actually running the draft, but they might come in at the last minute (I get off work with just enough time to get home before the drafts.)

FF League,

Team PureMichigan put together a Google Doc Spreadsheet to help organize our pick-list for each draft. We figured this might be useful to the other teams and to the people running the drafts.

Copy FF 2013 - Pick List Template to your Google Docs

After you copy the spreadsheet to your Google Docs, feel free to change [TeamName] to your FF Team Name and remove "Copy of " from the Title. Then you can share the Google Doc with the individuals running the draft (Koko Ed, etc).
