To all draft runners (other than Ed):

The times posted are not when a slot closes, but when a slot officially opens. So if Falcon shows 7:55, Falcon can enter a pick starting at 7:55 or when the team ahead of them drafts, whichever comes first (but if they submit after the slot behind them opens up, they get whoever. Picks coming in before the slot time opens can be granted if the team is still available.

List picks can be dealt with in a group--list submitters are considered to have made their selection as soon as their slot opens either by time or by the player ahead of them selecting. Yes, this can lead to breaks for the draft runners--and yes that's a good thing.

Am I doing the times wrong? Isn't the time listed the deadline for when they have to make their pick?

I've been running it as the deadline time.

Edit: Whoops. Sorry. I didn't know that. I'll make sure I'm doing it the other way.

Eh, just means someone gets an extra couple of minutes to pick partway through when you switch from close time to open time.

Especially the last round with only a minute between. Without breaks then and with the 47 second law, it makes it impossible to draft correctly.

That's a negative--for now.

If you miss 5 drafts in a row, you're given a warning--but we can't send the warning until all drafts for the day have completed. The warning is sent after the 5th (and 6th, if there is a second draft that day) draft(s) have completed.

Teams Awesum, Max, Exploding Bacon, and Cybergus are getting their warnings tonight. No appearance tomorrow (in either Central Valley or Hub City) means that they will be booted after both drafts complete; if they do show up, the miss clock resets.

Yep, we do have a problem...

This is grounds for a redraft of one of the two Hatboro tiers under redraft condition #2, omitted active member.

HOWEVER, the affected team is still at 5 missed drafts without the Hatboro draft. Therefore...

My ruling (subject to approval from Ed when he sees this) is that IF Team Awesum is still active after tomorrow's drafts, a redraft for one of the two Hatboro tiers (likely Tier 2) will be declared for "As Soon As Practical", which will most likely be Sunday, 12/2, with Team Awesum being given a slot at random and no other changes to the draft order (and other parameters are outlined in the rules document). Should Team Awesum be given the boot before then, no redraft will take place, due to them no longer being active members.

Not entirely.

Team Awesome withdrew, Team Awesum was already on Ed's probation list. Neither team actually participated in this draft - I don't see a problem. Boot Team Awesum since it looks like they don't care anyway.

The confusion came from when Duke withdrew Team Awesome, Ed thought he meant Team Awesum was withdrawing.

Still an issue. Team Awesum is still in the drafting (at least for now). They didn't pick last night, they got the warning. If they are booted, not an issue. Also, Awesome is still playing. Duke461 thought they were getting the notice of no-show--but Ed pointed out that they weren't. Nobody's updated Awesome being in or out since--they were participating at the time (I checked with Ed on that).

We boot by the book--you can boot yourself at any time, but if you get a warning and don't respond at all, we wait until the next day's drafts.

Awesome will be getting a warning tonight most likely. It looks like they quit. Of the four teams on the hot seat only Exploding Bacon has responded.

Since it's only 8 3rd round picks, it could easily be added to the schedule for before or after a regular draft. I can do it the next time I run a draft (Saturday?).

I know we've had problems staffing drafts lately, and I'd just like to say that now that I'm back at school I should be able to host drafts on any day that's not Monday or Wednesday, if you guys need the help.

Thanks to Ed, Eric, and all of those that have been running drafts so far. I know this is hard work and quite frustrating if even the tiniest thing goes wrong, and we all appreciate it.

The redraft will be just Tier 2. Use the same thread and replace Team Awesome Beastly As My Fajitas.

I can make an offer: IFF* we need an extra catchup draft or two, I can run them--noting that they'll be late starters (and possibly a third draft). I will probably try to take a few drafts between 12/7 and 12/11 anyway, some with a late start. I can also only do so much...

I can handle Orlando Tomorrow, Joe can do Waterford and Ed can do WPI, sure it is 3 drafts but Orlando will be on 1 thread for everyone and Waterford and WPI only have 30 and 36 teams respectively

Orlando should be full on like San Diego is. No need for Tiers.

Suggestion to help know which CD user is on which FF Team, user could change their Custom User Title to their FF Team name.

For example, I made my CD Custom User Title "FF - PureMichigan"

If anyone would like to do this, do the following:
  1. Click "User CP" (next to portal in the orange bar at the top)
  2. Click "Edit Profile" (in the menu on the left)
  3. Scroll Down till you see "Custom User Title"
  4. Enter your FF Team Name as "FF - TeamName"
  5. Scroll to the bottom and Click "Save Changes"
