Good question. Just an observation - last year, Pittsburgh was Week 2 and the university's spring break coincided. I don't know if that is customary or a coincidence. This year, their spring break is Week 3. Gotta wait and see.

Week 3 is OGT testing for us, and typically off limits as a competition week.

Week 2 for us is a big Band competition weekend in Ohio and we usually lose a lot of students and like you said Week 3 is OGT's. It isn't off limits just exclude's the sophomores from attending.

FIRST has started publishing the Local Kickoff venues and info.
So it looks like instead of a kickoff in Manchester, there's one in Boston for the Northeast. Interesting....

I'm sure that may change, or there's going to be 2.

I wouldn't read much into that. We've hosted a local kickoff in Boston for 5 years now in the same location.

The one in Manchester doesn't show up where you're looking because it isn't a Local Kickoff. It's The Kickoff.

Speculating is fun! :D

Last year was not on BU's Spring Break- we had many BU students sign up to volunteer.

EDIT: (on mobile) - The list probably got taken down because FIRST wants to wait til all or most things are finalized. It will come back.

As noted on the site, anything TBD isn't listed.

I can't believe Lubbock got a regional before Austin...

Oh well glad to see Arkansas got their own regional!

Some of those weeks are pretty event heavy though...
