Re: Which Regionals/Districts?

Finger Lakes not sharing a competition weekend with Canada. This has made my day.

I hope this will have us see the return of many of our favorite Canadian teams to FLR! And Karthik. If you see this, and feel like hitting the states for a regional. We'd be ecstatic if 1114 finally took the trip to Rochester.

Re: Which Regionals/Districts?

The Aztechs I know want to do WPI and some combo of Boston/Manchester. Most likely Boston since Manchester/WPI are back to back (Weeks 1 & 2 respectively) and I don't think the school would be too thrilled at us pulling students out of school two weeks in a row.

We did Manchester & Boston last year and had a blast, hoping to see some familiar faces again this year!

2705 WE ROBOT will be attending the 10,000 Lakes regional and we might make it up to Duluth for the Northern Lights regional.

Being a MAR team, we will hopefully attend Chestnut Hill, and Lenape District events. If we advance, then we would go to the MAR regional in Philadelphia, which is our hometown :)

Definitely FLR, hopefully it being Week 1 will bring back the likes of 610, 188, and maybe even 2056 or 1114. Jon Darr and Karthik are the dream team when it comes to announcing/MCing.

With the release of the official schedule, Team 2410 is definitely going to go to Greater Kansas City, and are looking into either Oklahoma Regional or possibly the new Fayetteville Regional in Arkansas.

Looks like Waterford and Grand Blanc for us, and probably entering the lottery for Troy. I'm surprised Northville has been moved, but it was a little far away without a hotel (some team members didn't get back until 1AM-ish Saturday morning, and then had to turn around and come back).

I can't speak for 1923/229/4124, but here's where I'll probably be. The weeks with more than one listed are depending on what my teams and family decide to attend.

Week 1: FLR or GSR
Week 2: GTR East (I sadly missed the chance on my invite last year because FLR overlapped - I hope they'll still let me in)
Week 3: Montreal
Week 4: Boston (serving as Volunteer Coordinator)
Week 5: Connecticut or South Florida
Week 6: Western Canada or SPBLI Long Island
Week 7: MAR Champs.

And, obviously, the Championship.
And finishing my senior year of college somewhere in there, too.

Since KC & STL are both week 3 regionals(very unfortunate for Mo. teams), Team 1208 will be attending the St. Louis regional and the Crossroads regional (Terre Haute, In), a week 6 regional.

Re: Which Regionals/Districts?

These are possible regional's for 772

Week 1:
-Finger Lakes regional (6:00 Hours) - Possible but less likely

Week 2:
-Greater Toronto East (4:56 Hours) - Most likely will go to GTR East

Week 3: HIGHLY doubt we will be going to any this week because we dont like to go on regionals during march break.
-Boilermaker (5:42 Hours)
- Montreal (10:25 Hours)- HIGHLY X2 Unlikely

Week 4:
-Queen City (4:41 Hours)
-Waterloo (3:38 Hours) - We don't always like going to Waterloo, but it is likely we will be going this year. Even if my team doesn't I may make the trip up.

Week 5:
- Buckeye (3:14 Hours) - Haven't been here since 2007, but it's the closest regional to us
- Greater Toronto West (4:12 Hours) - we've never missed a regional at the Hershey center, will this be our first? :/
- Smoky Mountains (8:46 Hours) - Won the regional last year, loved the event, we want to come back to try and win again, but we have some decisions to make.

Week 6: Probably wont be going to any of these, but they're still possibilities
- Midwest (5:04 Hours) - EXTREMELY competitive last year, but still would be a great regional to go to
- Crossroads (6:38 Hours) - 234 is just awesome and we'd love to visit you guys :D

Right now I think we will be going to GTR East, Waterloo, and Smoky Mountains, but I can't confirm anything

Re: Which Regionals/Districts?

I think I'll put this in the right thread. :o

The X-Cats are doing what they usually do: FLR and Championship.
As for me my potential schedule is as follows:
WEEK 1: FLR
WEEK 2: Orlando
WEEK 3: Pittsburgh over Montreal
WEEK 4: Boston
WEEK 5: I want to go back to GTR but DC is the same week. If I don't get my Garmin issue squared away I may have to stick to the US so I don't end up traveling to Mississauga and end up in Calgary.
WEEK 6: I want to go back to Midwest but Hawaii and Las Vegas are available too. Hawaii is most likely out because Southwest does not fly there and last time I tried to apply to Las Vegas no one called me back and I switched out foe Queen City. I know Dee will call me back for Midwest!
WEEK 7: MSC.
and obviously championships.

Or it could be:

Step 1-Drive

Step 2-Cross the border

Step 3-Find a hotel

Step 4-[wonder]How fast 100km/h anyway???*[/wonder] :ahh:

Step 5-Drive

Step 6-Welcome to Calgary!

*I know, it's 62 mph, and no, I don't disapprove of the metric system, and no, I don't think Koko Ed is stupid. Only the stereotypical ignorant American is.
