Our bot is under the poncho until the event, mainly because we couldn't get any good snapshots of the painted competition bot with everything on it, but our practice bot is running and being tuned as I speak. Bring on the competition.....

We'll be releasing the "buzz" video on this year's bot this weekend. I'll make sure we link it to this thread. We're very excited to be headed that way next Wednesday and looking forward to the competition!

As for 1102. Our team is finishing out our vacuum floor pickup arm to get ready for a possible 6 disk auto by some point in quals. We unfortunately didn't have time to put our 10 point hanging system into effect, but we're confident in our ability without it.

10 point hang is easy. We assembled ours in ~3 hours this weekend because our 30pt climb isn't up to snuff yet. I'd be happy to help your team assemble one in the pits if you need help!

I believe (don't quote me on this) that 11 will be bringing a couple ready-to-assemble passive 10 pt hang mechanisms in case one of our elimination alliance partners is without.

I'm looking forward to seeing how many teams can pick up frisbees - we're human fed only and would do well with teams that can floor load.

How much does the mechanism weigh?

A passive hang can be made for under 5lb.

For any interested in sending out links to team members and family members that will not be attending the regional. The Palmetto Regional's website has a link on the home page to where the event will be live streamed.

Well I figure I'll start this out for this season.
Pictures or videos it doesn't matter.

I'll get pictures of the practice bot by tomorrow, and perhaps video.

Re: The Palmetto Regional's New Location

2059 has gone for an offensive bot, with a accuracy of 4 discs in the 3pt goal from 30ft away in under 4seconds, extremely consistent. We've also got a fast 10pt climb at the end. Here's a CAD rendering of the bot -- my very first time attempting a build of this size, so I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Look for an official release video soon.

Re: The Palmetto Regional's New Location

Updated with 1648's beauty shot. The comp. bot is definitely a lot hotter.

We're still tuning things, but the basic gist of things is 10 point hanger plus your run of the mill feeder + shooter.

We just finalized our pieces and will be making 2-3 extras. Really depends on how you prefer to attach it, but what we have right now weighs less than a pound.
