We have reached Defcon 3 for Fingerlakes Regional.

I love the community that the 'regulars' have at Fingerlakes, there are always familiar friendly faces, cheers and traditions.

Does anyone know who the MC will be this year? As for announcers, I sure hope we still have the absolutely stellar Jon Darr. In the last three years and 5 different events I've attended including Championship divisions, there has yet to be a better announcer than the godlike Jon Darr.

As for being a first week event, especially one on the East Coast, I always love the feeling of being the very first to play the game and discover its strategy as it really is. Good luck all and I can't wait for another fantastic FLR.

And besides I know Dave more as an MC.
The Announcer in Michigan is Tom Nader who is unstoppable and versitile (he also is in charge of transporting the field for FiM and is excellent at Team Que).

I'll never forget how he made a call last year at buckeye that let a ref know he incorrectly called a foul. The ref had been making the same call wrong all day. When the ref looked at him he repeated the rule and the ref never made the call wrong again.

I wil enjoy the "homegrown" talents of Eric and Dylan. That is no slight against them, we are lucky to have such a pool of talented game announcers. At least I know we won't be called Churchville-ChilE High School but I will miss "Team GRRRRRRRRR."

Wait, will Dylan be replacing Jon Darr as announcer or will he be co-emceeing with Eric?

I hope they are Co-emceeing, I would be shocked and saddened if there was no JonDarr this year....

I don't know what JonDarr's plans are, but from what Dylan has told me, he will be co-emceeing with Eric this year, similar to what he did with Mark at last year's Finger Lakes.
