Looking for window kit parts
Posted by Jason Rukes.
Engineer on team #109, Arial Systems & Libertyville HS, from Libertyville High School and Arial Systems Corp. Posted on 4/14/2000 9:34 AM MST I'd like to use the parts for the window lift motor/kit for a student design project over the summer. Does anyone know where I may commercially purchase at least a dozen of the following: -window lift motor (either right or left-handed) -wire connector for motor -window lift mounting bracket -window lift gear -window lift tape -channel for tape drive A local Pontiac dealer is selling the motors, but they are $160 ea! I know a salvage yard is an option, but I can't guarantee quantities or condition. Even just the part numbers would be a big help. Thanks, Jason Rukes Team 109 See you at the WMRC! |

Also in this message is a link to information about how to obtain window motors that are close to but not identical the kit motors. I wouldn't worry about it. They are so much cheaper that even if you get one bad one in a lot it will be worth it. |
