Hatboro will be nuts. I'm surprised people aren't talking about it on here.

Re: 2013 MAR District Event - Hatboro-Horsham
Really looking forward to this event to kickoff the MAR competition season. Lot's of great teams and some great matches to be played.
Want to use this year's event code as a hashtag for some event congo? If so, it would be #pahat Nate |
Re: 2013 MAR District Event - Hatboro-Horsham
This competition is going to be one for the record books. A few Pi-oneers might come down on Sunday to see the action...and what we'll be up against in a few weeks :D

Really looking forward to this weekend. Possibly the most competitive week 1 event out there! H-H was a great event last year and I'm sure it will be even better this year.

Can't wait to see some very talented teams! I'm looking forward to seeing rookie team 4460 compete with a very strong field of competitors.

Re: 2013 MAR District Event - Hatboro-Horsham
Even though the stream was inconsistent and annoying, this event was the exact opposite. All the teams played at a high level and the matches were exciting and surprising. Huge shout out to teams 2590 and 3974, two of the most impressive bots I've seen this year!

Re: 2013 MAR District Event - Hatboro-Horsham
Congratulations due to the winners of the tournament and awards.
The main purpose of my post is to throw a little praise in the direction of 1640, Sa-bot-tage. I don't think I have ever seen such command of a swerve drive like your drivers had in those eliminations. Great shooter too. I was rooting for your team. Add a passive 10 pointer during robot open access and you guys will be killer. |

Does anybody have footage of the quarters/semis/finals? I'd love to watch!

Re: 2013 MAR District Event - Hatboro-Horsham
Thanks to Eric Zygmont, 708, and all of the staff and volunteers for another great Hatboro-Horsham District Event!
Congrats to 1218 for their much deserved Chairman's Award, and to 1403 for EI! It was a very competitive event with many accurate shooters, and a couple of great 30 point climbers. 2590 - HUGE thanks for believing in us! I know we were inconsistent and breaking down through much of the event, but you guys saw that when we were "on" we could put up big scores. We worked very well together, and you guys covered for us when our shooter went down in a couple of elimination matches. Your robot is simply fantastic. It is remarkably similar in concept to our 2012 machine (wide intake, simple magazine, accurate fixed-angle shooter optimized for a couple of specific - but protected - shots), and it is no small coincidence that you guys were among the only teams that came out of the bag fully operational and well-tuned. 3123 - You guys played some great D and made sure we and 2590 had discs nearby. Your full court shooter was a sight to behold once you got locked into position. We couldn't have done it without you! 25, 103 - It was great to see you guys again! Like us, you had some teething issues coming into the first event, but you turned it on in eliminations. Thanks for lending us the hooks that let us 10 point hang, and we look forward to seeing you guys at Vegas, MAR Champs, or World Champs! 365 - Great robot (as usual)! Your alliance had us VERY worried going into the semi-finals. 816, 3974, 1143 - Wow! That was some great defense in the finals! 3974, you have quite a shooter too! 2729 - You guys took a huge leap forward and were truly a force all weekend. With a little more tuning and practice, you can be the 610 of MAR! We have a lot of work to do for Chestnut Hill, but we can't wait to see so many of our friends again in two weeks! |
