Could you describe in more detail your belt setup? What was your width, pitch, toothcount, etc? Also, who was your supplier and what was their leadtime like? Finally, how did you tension, and would you ever do exact c-c design?

PM me your email and I'll send you detail. Our designs iterate and I'm not sure if we will use these same parts. You would need to conduct your own analysis.

Exact c-c would be a horrible idea on the drivetrain. You need a very high belt tension to avoid ratcheting and premature belt failure, and that's hard to achieve without a lot of trial and error with exact c-c, and isn't forgiving if anything changes.

We will not be placing our encoders there again. It was a pain to change belts with them there.
