If you have a complaint (and it sounds like a lot of teams do) it would be important to contact the volunteer coordinator. Also contact FIRST, they do not determine who the head ref is but they can and have banned people from the role.

The committees pick the Head Ref, but FIRST has the right to veto the committees decision.

I have submitted my feedback to the committee, hopefully something is done about this. Our team enjoys this regional and would like to keep on coming back!!!

Did anyone write down the order of the alliance selections?

I'm hoping someone can confirm Simon's order, below.

I am not completely sure of the first/second pick order for alliance 5 and alliance 7. The other ones I am reasonably sure of.

On alliance number 7 the second and third pick should be reversed. But otherwise I believe that is all correct!

I just wanted to take this moment and thank the planning committee for taking all the feedback and working to improve it. Our team's contact has been getting a stream of emails about the Thursday announcing, judging rooms, etc...

Big kudos to the committee for reading through all this and trying to improve for next year!

Has anyone learned whether or not the less than happy issues discussed in this 2013 event thread have been properly addressed for the 2014 competition, specifically in regards to the Head Referee?
