Vex can run pneumatics, but the limited number of controller ports can be problematic given the complexity of most FRC sized robots. Our first generation tshirt cannon runs on a VEX PIC controller with the old IFI era power distribution hardware with no problems, but that is only three motors, two solenoids, and the compressor.
