I know it's easy to take pot shots while not participating, and I'm sorry. But to call 1218 the "easy pick" in that situation suggests you did little to no research on the other teams competing at Hatboro-Horsham. 103, 222, 357, and 2590 were all available then, and there are convincing arguments for each of them to be picked ahead of 1218. Other competitions from last year and other recent years have good records too.

From what I can see, recently 1218 has been most consistently seeding high and getting awards. Everyone has a different opinion on how good teams are, but I believe 1218 was the best available closely followed by 103 and 222 and the other teams you mentioned. Perhaps I shouldn't have called it an "easy pick" but it really doesn't matter that much.

I'm floored that a 400+ word post spawned from 7 words someone used to make their draft pick in a fun league. Especially when there's no obvious reason why you would be invested in who he picked or what words he used to pick his team.
