[FTC]: Limit switch?
Is there any sort of limit switch in the KOP? I don't recall seeing one.
If not, is an off-the-shelf limit switch legal for FTC? It seems like it would be, but I'm not sure where it would interface, aside from something like the Hitechnic Prototype Board. |
Re: [FTC]: Limit switch?
The touch sensor that comes in the kit would work as a limit switch if you rigged it up correctly, Anything else would have to be interfaced with the protoboard and would more than likely look like this:

You can also use any sensor available through LEGO or from HiTechnic. HiTechnic also have a Touch Sensor Mux and a General Sensor Mux that are usefull if you have several sensors. The Tetrix Rotation Sensors mounted your DC Motors is another popular option. Any other sensor is legal if and only if, connected and powered through the HiTechnic Prototype Board. |
