We have started an indiegogo to fund our team. We have gotten the NASA grant but nothing else which is why we need to do this.
We have had trouble raising money in the traditional way which is why we are doing this.

In all honesty, it will probably be rather difficult to fund a team this way. What our team does every year is have each person write 10+ letters to family and friends asking for donations. We use pre-written letter with spots for the recipients name and a few personalized sentences. People generally are much more willing to donate if they are personally contacted.
