Pins vs 3D Print Logos
Of course we all know that every FRC team has the yearly tradition of the pin giveaways. In the past couple years I've noticed some teams (at least in SD/LA) transition over to 3D printed logos instead.
Any teams out there doing 3D print team logos as their giveaway item this year? If so, I was wondering if you found it worth your while -- as you know, printing is very time consuming, even if you can fit ~6-8 prints on a build plate at a time. Do you think its worth the extra effort? ![]() |
Re: Pins vs 3D Print Logos
Interesting.
But certainly much more time consuming and unnecessary. I'd much rather receive a button from a team. It's a time honored tradition and there's members of all teams who practically go on hunts to acquire the button of every team. I personally don't know what I'd do with a 3d printer logo from some team. The buttons can function as a collection or something, to showcase membership and participation in FRC. The logo is just.. I don't know. I'd stick with buttons. Cheaper, tested, and in my view, preferable. |

Last year we printed FIRST logo keychains to give to the judges (printed in the pit) to highlight the printed parts on the robot, but we had buttons for the other teams.
