Question about vision processing rules

So I was browsing the Kit of Parts this year, and noticed a copy of RoboRealm which we might use to do vision processing this year.
However, I took a look at the FRC manual which states that:
Quote:

The Driver Station software provided on the Kit of Parts website is the only application permitted to specify and communicate the operating mode (i.e. Autonomous/Teleop) and operating state (Enable/Disable) to the ROBOT.
Does this mean that RoboRealm would need to be installed on a netbook strapped onto the robot or is it legal to install it on the driver station?

Re: Question about vision processing rules

It means the Driver is the only program to specify operating mode to the robot.

Nothing to do with vision processing as long as you don't mess with enabling/disabling the robot through vision processing.

Smart dash board is another program that can read & set variables to the robot for example.
