Rose-Hulman, host of the Crossroads Regional, has put together some useful information for the event in an app available on all platforms. You can download the Bloodhound App on Android and iOS device and search for Crossroads.

Here is the specific download information from the twitter feed (@FIRSTCrossroads)

Android Users - Download our event app (http://ow.ly/jFTHE ) and search for the event in the featured Event list.

iOS Users - Download our event app (http://ow.ly/jFTEH ) with and enter the event code: CROREG133

The most useful information is in the maps section...includes a campus map, load-in map and pit layout map!

Load In seemed smooth. Venue for pit area is huge. So far seems like a great venue. I can't wait till tomorrow.

Is there a practice schedule available for those of us not at the event?

4103 took a nasty spill in their last match today -- any word on their 'bot's prognosis?

Re: 2013 Crossroads Regional

Fortunately, the robot landed on the defensive mesh supports. By doing this, it prevented any damage to the robot other than the mesh frame, the motor (that we were using as a counter-balance) attached to the mesh supports, and possibly the axis camera we had attached to the top.

I am glad to say we will be able to compete tomorrow.

For a technical school, the cellular coverage is terrible. One of my only complaints about the venue.

Re: 2013 Crossroads Regional

Average OPR at Crossroads was 27.5, which is probably one of the highest, if not the highest for all regional competitions.

This is especially impressive considering the size of the regional.

... so far. Eliminations are still to be played. Defense will become important, as Blair has pointed out several times.

The Crossroads field includes many excellent shooters and fast loaders -- notably on the #1 Alliance. Better figure out how to defend the FCS, or 1706 is going to put up big numbers.

Congratulations to the STL area teams playing this afternoon: 1706, 4256, 1288, 1094, 1208, and my all-time favorite 931. :D

OPR can't be calculated in eliminations because the sample size is too small for teams played with. To think of it simply, there is no way one robot's contribution to the alliance can be separated out when they only play with the same two partners.

Yes, understood. I was thinking about offense, not calculated contribution. :)
