Bedford District 2013

Bedford Public Schools and Bedford Express are excited to be hosting the new week 6 (April 5-6) FiM district! Because this was a last minute addition, we are scrambling for volunteers. :) Bedford Township is made up of the "cities" Temperance and Lambertville and is located on the Michigan border by Toledo, Ohio. It is sandwiched between I-75 and US 23. If anyone is interested in working at our event, we would love to have you. :)

Awesome weekend! The competition was amazing, the venue just as good. Hope to be able to attend a event there again in the future. Just hope we have a smaller robot to fit through the doors :P.

Congrats to 1023 on the DCA. The video was great!

Thanks to 470 and 4294. StarTrek, is was fun to play with you in eliminations with you for the second time this year. Alpha Omega Robotics, it was great to play with you guys, and hope that you continue to improve!

Thank you Bedford! What a great facility - there was enough room left over in the pit area for a full practice field (if only there was enough carpet!) Astonishingly smooth. See you next week!

P.S. If you can get the post-match score up on the basketball scoreboard, it'll be easier for the crowd in the last 20% of the bleachers that can't see the screen. Scoring more than 199 points could be a problem though ;)

Thank you all! So many people made this event what it was. Thanks to all of them. Our athletic director asked if we wanted to use the score board, but I told him no. Didn't think of that idea, but will investigate for next year! :) Also, we will try to get a second screen up next year.

As for the doors, I never realized how "short" our doors were until we started getting robots through them. Not sure I can fix that one, but I really am thankful you all adapted! :)

Such a great feeling seeing all of this take place on "home turf" and hearing you all enjoyed it. Please feel free to message me with anything you can think of to improve it for next year! :)
