Camera Problems

Once upon a time... Our camera is not working. We can edit the fps. We can also edit the compression. The camera is indeed on. The code is totally loaded. Like we can do everything except see the vision of the camera. There is no lens cap.
But in all seriousness, our camera isn't working.

Re: Camera Problems

Did you use the Camera tool to set it up?
Can you get to it using a web browser (if you have not set the camera up: 192.168.0.50) (or 10.17.10.11 if you have used the Camera tool) ?

You can view the video stream in the browser.

Re: Camera Problems

Make sure the camera is setup through the axis tool. also make sure you are using the right cables if you are talking though the robot you just need a strait though, or if using pc use a crossover.

The other way around.
PC's don't required cross-over cables. but the cRIO/camera direct connection does. :)

If you are using LabVIEW, make sure that your vision enable button is on in the front panel of the robot main.

Another thing (And trust me, it may sound stupid but we have done it before). When you connect to the robot through tether, put the tether in the router, not the cRio. We once put it in the cRio and couldnt figure out why we werent getting camera feed. Well the camera was plugged into the router and our laptop wasnt connected to our router.... ::ouch::

What Dashboard are you using? The LabView one? A version of SmartDashboard?

And just to make sure, the green light on the front of the camera is lit, right? It's not orange? It should be since you can view it in a broswer, but I just want to make sure.

Thanks for all the helpful responses guys. We eventually got it working by restarting his laptop. He had done the updates for DS and LabView but didn't restart. Such a simple thing too. Sorry for the trouble.

If it doesn't work, restart the computer. :) If it still doesn't work, ask on ChiefDelphi. haha

Re: Camera Problems

A cross over is not required to connect the camera to the new wireless bridge a regular cat 5 for example will do fine. Also make sure your wireless bridge is in the 2.4ghz AP mode.
