I might be mistaken but I believe its a magnetic welding angle. I assume that because the ends of the pipe look like they've been prepped for welding.

Guys... It's one of those magnet things for welding (I don't know exactly what they're called).

It's a magnetic right-angle jig for welding. Very common for setting up right-angle pipe joints. Like this one:

They are a bit problematic though. I hope you double-checked them for squareness after tacking and welding!
