Feeder Station Angle
While designing a mechanism to intake discs from the feeder station, I realized that I did not know the angle of the feeder station relative to the alliance station, and I was unable to find an angle in the rules or field drawings.
Is there a place I could find the angle? Thank you very much. |

I was trying to find the angle of the entire feeder station wall. This picture is an aerial view of the field CAD my team has. The black arrows in the bottom right point to the angle I am looking for. ![]() |
Re: Feeder Station Angle
Just measure the angle in the CAD drawing.

Re: Feeder Station Angle
I don't have quick access to the field dimensions or I'd give you the answer. But I can tell you how to find it.
You know the width of each of the three driver stations. You know the width of the field. Subtraction (and division by two) gives you the amount of field width taken up by the feeder stations in the corner, which is one side of a right triangle. You know the width of each of the two feeder stations, giving you the length of the hypotenuse. Trigonometry tells you the angle. |

Once again, thank you very much! |

1 Attachment(s)
For those still wondering, the angle of the feeding slot wall in relation to the alliance wall is 52.14709727 degrees
The attached image shows the basic way to figure this out in CAD software. Attachment 13548 The four corner walls were contrained equal to each other, the two alliance walls constrained equal to each other, and finally the two side walls constrained to be equal to each other. -Nick |
