Piston wont pump
 

We got our compressor to work but not our piston. It`s a double solenoid that we are using here is an image of the program.

How is the solenoid wired and powered?
How is the solenoid breakout powered?
Have you measured the power at the pins with a multi-meter?

Is it a 24v or 12v solenoid?

You can tell if your code is working correctly by the green LEDs on the solenoid module.
According to the code the first and second LEDs on the module should alternate being lit.

our solenoid is connected to two sets of cRIO pneumatics bumper output pins the lights show that each port is working but it doesn't let us control it. Also, the piston seems to be stuck either in or out as soon as we turn on the cylinder. in other words it does one movement and it stays like that. And its a 24 volt solenoid.

Is the solenoid breakout wired to 24v power?
It shares the cRIO power connector on the Power Distribution Panel.

It is possible that the solenoid wires are reversed at the breakout.
You can try plugging them in reverse. It won't damage the solenoid to do that.

I think the solenoid might a indicator lights too. Do you see anything there?

You can use a multi-meter on the solenoid output pins to see if you measure any current.

You do have 24 volts connected to the power input of the Solenoid Breakout, right?

First double solenoid valves stay in the position last energized. So your piston can be either in or out. There is a manual actuation button on each end of the valve next to the plug. You can play (excuse me test) with that to make sure your plumbing is correct. You should only have one light on at a time otherwise you will get confusing results.

There are spring centered valves, but you most likely do not have one.

The electrical diagrams apparently are unchanged for 2013. You can find them by going to the 2013 Technical Resources page, then following the link at the bottom to the Archived Technical Resources from 2012. From that page, follow the Electrical link, then open the Robot Power Distribution Diagram (24V Solenoid) drawing. It shows the Solenoid Breakout being powered from two of the four pins on the 24V output of the Power Distribution Board (the other two go to the cRIO).

Thank you very much Alan Anderson and Mark McLeod for always repling to our question and yes it was a 24v solenoid the probleme and by changing thw wiring it worked.
