Limited Jaguars?

Is there a limited amount of Jaguars that can be mounted on a robot?

There's no rule on how many jaguars can be on the robot. However, you might find that you'd want them all hooked up to something, rather than robot ballast.

Essentially, one motor controller per motor.

The limit is 18, as that's the number of open slots on the power distribution board. (There's 20, but 2 of them have to be used for the analog and digital breakouts.)

OP never said that the Jags had to be plugged in

At $60 each, the technical limit is 66 Jaguars before you exceed the $4000 budget limit. You can add in 2 more you get for "free" as part of the PDV from Vex.

My favorite non-serious response to this post:

Well first off, are these Jaguars juveniles or adults?

Under R52 (see table 4-4) this year you can have more than one motor per motor controller for certain lower power motors.
