We first give the robot a "working" name, before deciding on the real name for the year. This year's robot has a working name of "10 CIMs" because one of our students dreams of having a robot with 10 CIM motors. In the past, our robots have been:

2010--Wombot
2011--That's Not A Knife (T-NAK) with minibot Spoon
2012--MATE And The Engineers (MATE (gotta love recursion...))
2012 offseason protobot--Dropbot

We're going to name it after the member of our team it most resembles. You might be surprised how possible that is!

We name our robots after our team captain.

We take their name and make into a name similar but the opposite gender.

Ex. Stephen is our captain, our robots name is Stephanie
Julian is our captain, so our bots name is Julie
