Pneumatic Tubing

Hey guys,

Is there any restriction as to what kind of tubing we use, as long as we stay within the required size?

Note R76 and R78(E).
These are rules related directly to tubing.

Make sure that you keep the specs on any tubing you use handy when at competition. We got flagged at MSC last year for using 1/8" tubing because the inspectors decided that it "gave us an unfair advantage in reducing flow without using a valve"

When we were told that we kind of laughed about it until we realized that they were totally serious (even after showing them the rule in print from last year). So we stripped the smaller hose out of a very inconvenient place and replaced it with the standard 1/4" hose. After a full day of competition on the 1/4" hose, they were kind enough to come back and tell us that the smaller hose was totally fine. Had we had the proper documentation with us showing that the smaller hose was indeed smaller, we could have avoided a very large headache...
