Here is some teaser footage from our testing yesterday. Iteration 1 was a success but we have much more in store for iteration 2! ;)

what's so special about your shooter that you blob it out?
Look at almost every other shooter video on this site. They are more than happy to share what they are doing. I bet your shooter was even modeled after something you saw on the internet or even from this site. So, why hide it?

Teams have their own reasons to withhold information, and I don't believe that its your place to call them out on that.

The flashing effect was so hard to watch I couldn't even get to the hidden shooter portion of the video.

As for blurring out videos, it doesnt bother me. Shooters this year are going to all be about equal so they are going to need other attributes to separate themselves from the rest.

As a teaser, to hype the team and their capabilities, get people excited to see the robot...it is week 4 already

That being said, if I may offer some constructive criticism, the video was incredibly hard to watch with all the effects. I would have been much more impressed with just some video of the shots and a blurred out/censored shooter. As it is, I can't really tell if you made one or two really good shots, or if you're consistently hitting dozens.

If anything, I wouldn't have blurred out the shooter, but if there was a collection and feeder system, I would've blurred that out. It seems like this year the shooter isn't special, it's the collection and feeder systems that will dictate the best teams out there. That, and the climbers.

Thanks for the feedback. I edited the video. I definitly will take your advice and post some videos of normal shots from iteration 2 soon to come.

We didn't blur it out for no reason.
Whether we modeled it after something on this site or not shouldn't concern you.
We blurred it out because what fun would it be if people saw our stuff. Then they could copy it and then there is nothing to differentiate us from other teams.
Im not saying we are better than everyone else. Just so you know.

Maybe the reason they are blurring out their shooter is because it isn't like anything else we've seen yet. They have the right to hide that, it is their video.

Have to agree on that point. 'Scuse me while I go buy some epileptic medication...

As far as the shooting itself, all I could tell that's different from other shooters is that they're shooting at a steeper angle than most videos so far.
