Re: pic: CRT 306 chassis
Given the look of that control system, I would hazard a guess as to say that chassis is not from the current year.
(Unless, of course, it is a prototype/practice robot) |
Re: pic: CRT 306 chassis
It was a practice setup, the programmers were working with this years electronics on a practice frame, and the build team wanted to test the drive out, so they grabbed the old electronics off the shelf to use.

Re: pic: CRT 306 chassis
Does the odd shape of the frame serve a purpose? I'm just wondering why all the extra material? It seems rather bulky. Looks like your 07 frame.

Re: pic: CRT 306 chassis
It is rather similar to the 07 frame, they got inspiration from that robot, liking the module idea. They wanted something unique to them, that would look cool to the community, also was designed to work with original ideas for pickup/ shooter. They drafted everything on there own, it is a little bulky, but will work, lessons learned for next time. Also the curved shape of the module allows the robot to get over objects, Frisbees, bumps really smoothly and easy.

The kids did a good job, I hope it ends up painted black like 07. Good luck! |
