[FTC]: World Championship

Our team qualified for the World Championship at the Delaware State Tournament. :)
As our team (Imagine It #4999) doesn't have experience with Worlds yet, I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on things to bring, buy, or do before the tournament.

One of my specific questions, is how much does registration for Worlds cost?

Another specific question, is does it really matter how close our hotel is to St. Louis/The Edward Jones Dome?

Congrats on qualifying. We went to worlds last year so, I will share a few of my observations from that experience.
1.A hotel within walking distance is definitely worth it. Parking is a pain and it make sense to be able o get to the arena easily. Remember, there will be FLL teams, FTC teams and FRC team so it is crowded and there is a lot going on.

2.Make sure and have a cart for your bot. It is a long way from the pits to fields.

3.Going to worlds is not cheap. Event registration was $1,000 last year. So, we drove, but with food, registration, extra parts, some entertainment money, hotel and transportation we raised 10k and used every bit of it.

4.Get group tickets one evening and go to the City Museum. Look it up. Our team wants to go back just for that experience.

5. One night our kids went to RoboProm in the Hyatt. Google it, about 1,000 kids were there. They had a riot.

6.You will have a 10 x 10 booth. Think how you want to decorate to promote your team.

7.Have fun!!! Worlds is an unforgettable experience.

Remember to have fun. My first year at worlds (FRC) we tried rebuilding our robot while we were there. Not a smart idea. Instead understand that you have made it to compete with the best of the best and no matter what happens you guys have experienced something amazing.

How much does the registration cost this year for FTC?

There is no information about this on usfirst.org
Thanks

It's too early for that information to be posted yet.

When do we usually get to know about all these information?

End of march, or towards the very beginning of April.
