Re: Belt Shooter

This is VERY similar to ours, with very similar performance.

What speed are you running the belt at?

Re: Belt Shooter

Right now 1-1 with a mini cim motor.

What about y'all?

Re: Belt Shooter

we are gearing up 2 mini cims 1:4 (free speed output of ~24k rpm) but are using a fairly small diameter pulley.

What size pulley are you using?

Re: Belt Shooter

Okay cool.

Were using two six inch kitbot wheels with guides on either side of the front wheel and conveyer belt material.

Re: Belt Shooter

assuming loaded speed is approximately 5k rpm, your linear belt speed is approximately 88mph (great scott!) In a perfect world, your Frisbee will be leaving your shooter at 44mph.

We are somewhere in the neighborhood of a belt speed of 120mph. (Frisbee speed of 60 mph) as long as it all stays together.

Not to be "that guy" but I can't help but notice none of you have safety glasses on... ::safety::

Once we hit 80% power we didn't notice much difference.

Haha yes! I'm glad we're not the only team that uses those. :)

Does your team have the force field ones to protect from debris? haha!

The monsters are creating a design to travel ~150 mph. I really hope the belt doesn't tear itself apart. I'm actually worried that it will rip itself apart :yikes: .
