There are two separate forms of technology here folks, First Battle bots is a destructive game based on
how quickly one can beat the snot out of the other guys Bot. There appears to be no team participation
or spirit visible like with a FIRST competition. The basic idea is who has the toughest Bot that can inflict
the most amount of damage prior to the clock running out on the other player.
Junk yard wars is a game that does incorporate teams of people that are given a task and free use of all
the garbage they can use or ( steal ) in the junk yard, they have only one day to come up with a design,
find the materials, build and test, and then do battle. ( sounds familiar ).
Each has its good points but given a choice I would prefer the junk yard war because I work best under
pressure and 8 hours to completion is a lot of pressure. Junk yard wars is an English program and has
only recently been televised here in the States but has been around for quiet some time in the UK.
