smart dashboard jar vs. exe
 

I'm trying to load the camera widget and a custom widget on the smart dashboard. When I run the SmartDashboard.exe the camera widget works but the custom widget doesn't appear in the "add" menu. When I run the SmartDashboard.jar the custom widget appears but the camera widget displays "no connection" to the camera. Any idea what my problem may be?

We are having a similar problem, but our widget shows in the list on some computers, but not others. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

fixed it by installing a 32 bit jre rather than 64.
