When deploying code in NetBeans it hangs.

When we deploy our code in netbeans we go through the normal upload process until it gets to this.

Quote:

[cRIO] edu.wpi.first.wpilibj.networktables2.server.Server ConnectionAdapter@8 entered connection state: GOT_CONNECTION_FROM_CLIENT
[cRIO] edu.wpi.first.wpilibj.networktables2.server.Server ConnectionAdapter@8 entered connection state: CONNECTED_TO_CLIENT
From here it just hangs and never completes. We have flashed the Crio multiple times and re-installed netbeans and the plugins.

On a side note we have ended the build in netbeans and have both green lights on communication and robotcode but the jags blink and nothing else seems to work.

Does it not enable?

thats the final stage of the deployment process, its finished, you initialized the jags in the wrong PWM slot in the code

we have the same problem, either you initialized the jags in the wrong PWM slot in the code, as Arhowk said but most of the time the problem is that you wired the PWM cables wrong. What we do is flip the PWM cables and it works because up till now our electrical team (including me) dont know which way the cables go (black on the inside or outside......no idea).

Hope it helped

From my experience, if PWM cables are backwards than the robot will go forwards instead of backwards than stall instead of going forwards

I am pretty sure you are mistaken sir, not to be mean at all. When the pwm cables are wired backwards the signal wire plugs into the ground slot while the ground slot goes to signal wire. So there is no possible that this mistake would make the robot go in the opposite way.

However, i think u might be talking about switching the wires from the motors to the jaguar. Meaning that u switch the arrangement so that positive goes in the negative place. When this is done u are right it makes the motors go in the opposite way.

Yeah, i was referring to the PWM cables being backwards. ::ouch::

they are not called pwm cables, wiring them backwards would basically not make the robot run, hence the blinking lights
