How do we know the age of the CIM motor?

On the motor, it has:

CIM
FIRST ROBOTICS
FR801-001
12 Vdc

100906

The question is, what do all of the lines mean and how can we determine the age of the motor?

I don't remember if the 10 at the front is the year, or the 06 at the end. It's one of them.....it would help if they used a 4 digit number for the year on the date code!

But it's one of those two numbers.
