Do you even fit within the 54" cylinder???

Is this even legit?

Re: pic: look at that!

There is no way that fits in the 54in cylinder considering that length of that bar at 68 degrees (i think) is 32in between each lifting bar so if you are on the ground and passing the second bar you must be at least 64 in

I measured yesterday and yes it does fit. With a few inches to spare.

The angle of the picture...my neck hurts from turning it to the left at such an angle.....

Its less than 50 inches from the extended claws to the top of the shooter. I know for sure that it could fit it in the specified 54in diameter cylinder without issue.

Should be ~34" horizontally from the second level to the corner, leaving them with 20" of robot outside the pyramid. Looks like the shooter is at an angle so that when it climbs its near vertical so it doesn't add to it, so just looking at the floor from the corner of the pyramid to the far end of the robot as long as thats under 20" which it looks like its possible, then they're fine.

Or I could have just done my geometry completely wrong, it is almost 3am. And it would help if this image wasn't at a ridiculous angle.

i think your math is off considering the first horazontal bar should be at 30in and also if you look at the first diagram it looks like they would measure it from your drive base upwards as your cylinder

Re: pic: look at that!

Under the clarification given in this blog post, it is legal.

Quote:

If you can put any 54” right cylinder with a height of 84” around the robot, in any orientation, at any moment while it is climbing, and no part of the robot is more than 54” away from the base of the pyramid, your robot does not violate the new rules.

The cylinder is not measured relative to the ground.

30in in height not 30in from the corner. The cylinder is not relative to drive base. Its not relative to anything, its as long as you can squeeze your robot in. I measured relative to the ground because I'm not there in person with a tape measure, but it looks like even using it relative to the ground it *could* work.
