Are AM-0914 motors legal?

We got a AM-0914 motor and corresponding gearbox in the kit of parts, but the serial number isn't on the list of legal motors. Is the motor legal?

The part number am-0914 refers to the gearbox and the motor. The included motor is an am-2161 which is on the allowable motors list in the game manual.

From the PG-71 page on the AndyMark website, which also lists physical and performance specifications:
If you wish to use it in another gearbox, use the recommended 16 tooth gear.
If you wish to use it to drive chain, use the recommended 16 tooth sprocket.
If you wish to use it to direct drive something, use the recommended hub.
If you wish to mount it to a surface perpendicular to the output shaft, use four M4x0.7 screws.
If you wish to mount it to a surface skew to the output shaft, use the recommended gearmotor bracket and the aforementioned screws.
I've put in an informal request for them to offer their gearmotors with a hex output shaft; maybe that option will be around for the 2014 season.
Also, treat the back end with care. Our team has a nasty habit of accidentally snapping off the spade connectors.
