Challenge of the Turkey Bot

Does anybody use their robot in a Thanksgiving Day parade? I was just thinking about nothing, as usual, and I thought that it would be a cool idea to have a FIRST-style robot in a parade. maybe mount a light up sled atop it, and do some fun stuff. The team could dress up as Santa's elves too. Wouldn't that be so cool? I just have all the best ideas...

Dan, I think you are a officially a nutball. That is unless of course you could get a FIRST float in the Macy's parade... Ok, I'll wake up now and get out of LALA land. Seriously though, I think a FIRST float would rock!

I can see it now a FIRST float following the New York Yankees down 34th street... yeah sure  but, if it were to happen it would be cool

Not for Thanksgiving, but the Quincy Christmas Parade, Sharpie is on the float. Last year we had the 2000 bot on it, moving presents from one side to another (Sharpie 2000 had a 9 ft. long articulated arm). The float won the "Best Specialty Float" award.

Dan that was the coolest idea yet. I am going to ask our teacher sponsor on monday if she will let us do it. I would so dress up as an elf or santa and make an appearance in a Parade. If you are in LA on christmas maybe we can have a dual team float. HEHE

I understand that a FIRST Float will be in The Macy Thanksgiving Parade the same year that the Boston Red Sox win the World Series

which will be, uh... NEVER!!!!:p

That's not very optimistic guys. Maybe we should all try to get a float in the Macy's. Perhaps this years winners should be featured on a float in next year's parade... Hrm... everyonce in a while I think of something that maks me have to stop and marvel. Methinks this would be a huge bonus to winning the championships.

LoL, there are many things that would be huge incentives towards winners, yet like the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, are simply out of our league.

~Tom Fairchild~, who thinks that all team members on a winning team should get some kind of Italian Super Car.

Dude, I like the Red Sox, let me believe they'll win! But anyways my team has a float in our towns parade every 4th of July and Christmas, its so much fun to do! (esp. when you win 1st place, a huge trophy, and 150 bucks!!!!)
