Another first-class robot from S.W.A.T.
Kansas City and Oklahoma are going to be two very interesting regional competitions to keep an eye on with both you and Titanium competing together.

Tall (harder to block) full court shooter and corner climber with 20 point disc dumper. Sounds like a deadly skill set to me.

This thing looked really good at our open gym day. Looking forward to working together, should the match schedule allow us that pleasure. :)

Thanks Meredith! Hopefully we'll be able to compete with you in St. Louis! We thought about going but we had to many of our key students with other commitments so we had to look at other weeks.

Our team likes the circular hole pattern lightening like what is shown at the beginning of the video. I understand it's benefits, but it always takes the students a long time to do. I'd really like to know how you do your lightening.

It depends on if we design it that way or we are trying to shed those last few tenths. For the most part we CAD everything lightening holes and all, then get center point dimensions from two edges of the part (top and one side usually) and take it out to the our 3-axis mill which has a digital read out. Once everything is set up it usually doesn't take that long. I hope that helps!

Yeah, and it usually helps to have at least a few people there ready to file the holes on parts while new ones are being made. I think at one point this year there were 10 people crowding around the parts of our base drive-frame filing it.

I'm more curious as to what tool you use to cut the holes out. We use 2.5 inch holes and have been cncing them.

Ah I see its 2x1 C channel so we used a 1.25" hole saw
