SmartDashboard not working on classmate
 

Hi,

I installed the smartdashboard onto the classmate computer and the executable will not launch. Any help getting this working is much accepted because we have a competition in 2 days

I'll need more information to help you. How did you install it? Is the SmartDashboard.jar file in Program Files\SmartDashboard\? Also what are you using smartdashboard for that you didn't need it until 2 days before competition for?

Hi,

The SmartDashboard.jar file is in the Program Files/SmartDashboard directory. When I click on the SmartDashboard.exe, the program doesn't launch. I am using version 1.03. I installed it on the programming laptop and it works just fine.

What is the output on the commandline if you run java -jar smartdashboard.jar?

And if nothing happens, what is the output of java -version?

Hi,

I thanks for the reply, this made me realize that java was not installed on the drivers station. Installed and it started working.

Note that a newer version of smartdashboard is available - v1.05 - that implements a number of bugfixes. It might be a good idea to update that.
